Featured Antique Jade Pendant Or Top,Appears To Be Signed

I found this old piece of jade inside a box,that was in a storage I brought.Measure 2 1/2"x1 1/2".I'm not sure,but there's a small circle that appears to be signed in Japanese or Japanese,not sure.Could be a pendant or top off a small jade box.Any ideal.I have pictures on black background and white.I tried to get a closeup picture of the small circle to the left.Not sure if that's a foo dog or buddah

I get the impression that it was once inlaid in a jewelry box similar to this one or in the lid of a top open style box. Of course your piece is much more detailed in the carving than this example.
