Hollyblue, what is the composition of stones like these? Are they glass? Something else? I am trying to learn about stones, something I have trouble with. Thanks.

The 2 photos of African bloodstone look like misc. stones in glass.

The stones in the bracelet could be different types, a bit like those 1950s-60s cocktail necklaces with different colours quartz, agate, etc.

@Marko there are no markings on this, but it tested positive for .925 sterling. I think it is really pretty, the stones are slightly graduated. If it wasn't so heavy, I might have kept it, but I can't stand jewelry that I can "feel" all the time.

I did come across this stone several times when I was searching, but the sites were those new age, healing type of things so didn't know how accurate it was.

@Hollyblue there are some "spaces" in the stone on a couple of the links.

@Any Jewelry the dark stone has a horizontal crevice that is showing up white. 64325758_771589476624861_6706233593208766464_n.jpg

Thanks Jaime, I don't think that is glass, so they are probably all stone, maybe different stones.

What do you think on the age of these? I was thinking mid century vibe?

Poor construction, sloppy solder joints and no cleanup.Could be a high school project/hobbyist, etc. and probably made sometime in the last 30 years.

More like recent India manufacture. The Indians make tons of similar ones.

Later, I think 1990s-now, could have been made in India. It is an eyecatcher, enjoy it.

I'm only seeing this for the first time now. Looks like an assortment of microcrystalline quartz stones; whether they would be called jasper or agate depends mainly on whether or not translucent. The more grey-white stones look like they would qualify as agate; the bloodstone/heliotrope, as noted, is considered a jasper. I see no reason to think they are glass & agree construction looks like much that has been coming out of India.

    Congratulations!
In that case, make sure Holly sees everything you post.:playful: She focuses on the crafts(wo)manship, which she is very knowledgeable on. Asian made jewellery rarely gets a 'pass' from her.
The rest of us 'ignorami' focus on the overall look, style, age and possible origin. If a piece is attractive, it will sell.:)
