Storage Find Another Old rug

    SAM_1522.JPG As state in my last forum,I'm not an expert on rugs.I got a lot of rugs from a storage auction.Is this one handmade,anyone know the name or rug,age. SAM_1518.JPG SAM_1519.JPG SAM_1521.JPG SAM_1520.JPG

    This one appears to be machine made. If it were handmade, the underside of the knots would be show exactly the same detail as the face.

    Handmade rugs are named after their place of origin or the tribe who made them.
    The names of the places or tribes of origin of handmade rugs don't apply to machine made rugs, except when the manufacturer uses the name as a design name. Which is a no-no imo. It suggests they are something which they are not.
    It is a pretty rug though, nice pattern and nice colour scheme.
