Porcelain duck. Is it a planter?? Help please

    Given he has a bit of age, I'd think a vase. A planter would be more likely be shaped like this.

    my first thought was a pie bird. base doesn't seem right for that though.

    That sweet glaze an' soft lines are reminiscent of Catalina Island Pottery, to me.

    IF that's a hole in the bottom, then I don't think it's a vase......just sayin'.....

    I also wonder why he has a vent hole if his mouth is open, but that's neither here nor there.
