everyone seems to call it a WW2 German Navy boot knife.....and the handles above...( mine included ) seem to be the most widely known and used...

I wonder if yours is a replacement...
could be see the butt cap....or...end of the handle, please !

Following ... hoping for info. Is there any reason to believe this is a nazi knife? Can't see why. It looks very new (post-war) to me.

I see no markings to suggest anything other than German Navy.

the blade is similar to SA daggers. don't forget - they always produced for 1000 years :hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:.

Is there a company name on the other side of the blade? The 3rd photo on KOMO's post marked"ROMO" was a New York import company... Rosenbaum & Mogul.

the last one says G.C.CO. & I think I saw at least one other company name...

this one says...post war naval dirk !
Cowans had one , calling it post war , also.

Then there's this one that's similar......but the blade has changed dramatically ..

I'd think the above would be a later model for export only...

my grandpa was gifted the knife from a friend stationed in Germany around the time of the Vietnamese war so it is probably produced post war

George Rose company. They imported knives from Japan, Italy, Germany, and possibly other countries.
