Cute little elephant

i found another treasure, I think. I just looks old. It has a seam, which I think is a good thing isn’t it? It has a stamp of Japan on the back. What do you think?

 

Made in Japan.

Means is was made in a mold.
Not an expensive item. People collect elephants. Store Retail value approximately $3-10.

Maybe I’m thinking of glass that has a seam. I’ve always heard about something having a a seam shows it’s age.

 

Don't use that as a guideline.
All the line means is that it is molded.
Good glass was made in molds and then fire polished so the mold lines don't even show.

Familiarize yourself with time periods and what was available and popular. Colors used. Materials available.

 

COMPLETELY OFF TOPIC HERE, BUT is it just me, or why is the column on the right NOT changing to the topics we are discussing???? I have to keep going back to my email to get a NEW topic to see!!!!
