Help.Egyptian Stone cat ID

    About 20" tall very very heavy, I thought it was plaster at first but it feels like a stone. Any idea? antcat.jpg antcat2.jpg

    With all those scratches and chips in the dark surface revealing white beneath, I don't think this is stone, but rather some form of ceramic.

    It would probably be more correct to say yours is a reproduction of the same Bastet statute, no doubt in a museum somewhere, that Design Toscano is reproducing. The bases are different.
