Featured Carved blue glass bead necklace

    Here's another piece I'm stumped on. It's vintage with an older style spring ring clasp. The beads appear to be a turquoise blue glass. Is it Italian? or Tibetan perhaps? I can't find anything similar... image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg

    Yes I can see that as well. They definitely aren't plastic though, hard and cold like glass.

    I’m saying czech too. There are some older Weiss and Warner brooches I have that have center cabs with that same pattern and both loved to use Czech glass. Feels mid 50s to early 60s. Love that color blue!

    The moment I saw them, my automatic pilot went Neiger Neiger Neiger...
    Newly strung of course.
    Neiger didn't make the beads themselves, they were made for Neiger, and also sold to other jewelry manufacturers.

    The molded glass cabochons of this design used in costume jewelry are called "Moroccan Matrix" but I don't know country or origin.
