    Hello to all at Antiquers!

I'm wondering if anyone can help date this hall chair, and help advise me on the design or style. I thought at first it appeared almost arts and crafts with a celtic design but the legs look Regency, is this right? Photos added in my next comment as I'm having issues adding text with the images.

I'd take a stab at late mannerist or early baroque in intent, but I won't take a shot at the age.

I would guess ca. 1880. I have a German “musical chair” from that time period with similar massing and decorative motifs.

Thank you for this information, I appreciate your time. Makes me wonder if German or English, could possibly be German.

Yes the chair is mine but looking to sell it on now so I was hoping to find out the era or styles used.

I completely agree, to be fair I wouldn't trust sitting on it as it has had repairs sometime in it's life.
