Antique Mortar & Pestle -What’s it worth?

    Hi, does anyone know anything about Mortar and Pestles like this? The mortar is 6 3/4” across and 4” tall and the pestle is 9” long. The mark on the bottom says “warranted acid proof” with a small “4” below it, and a small “4” on the pestle as well. Not sure if it’s stone or ceramic, but it is heavy! My initial searches found similar ones valued from $16 -$900!? Lol. Does anyone know anything about this or what it may be worth?

    An internet search using the terms "warranted acid proof" brings up lots of similars. Stoneware and for apothecary use. The number 4 indicates size. eBay Completed Listings should give you an idea of collector interest.

    She wrote Girl of the Limberlost, but I have no idea how she is connected to the discussion of a mortar and pestle.
