Featured Mark on older marcasite and opal (?) brooch

    Anyone recognise this please? The back looks thirties. It's a large brooch, marcasites as well. Might actually be opal, there's some fire in it.

    Gorgeous design, and agree, 1930s.
    Does it say LSE or LCE?
    I can see some blue, moonstone maybe?

    Moonstone is also a thought! It’s like a sideways m rather than an e. I’m perplexed.

    Opalite glass for sure. It may have had a pearl coating originally, but that took itself off.
