Happy Labor Day Weekend (to my friends in America) - - gives me a 3 day weekend to sell things at my weekend estate sale/garage sale!
I found these 2 pieces yesterday at a local thrift store - the fish bowl/planter I almost passed after seeing the stains(?) inside it - can that be easily removed?
But what made me buy it is when I looked at the bottom instead of a Made in China or For Decorative Purposes Only or similar stamp that makes me believe it's newer - this one has what I think is the artist or the potter's signature?
Is it a signature? What does it say?
It also has a small stamp of a triangle with what looks like 89 inside it? (there is also another lighter one above it that maybe they did a 2nd time with more ink so it could be read better?) - what does that mean?

The 2nd piece I thought looked like the Native American god who plays the flute & appears to be dancing? Is that who this is?
Can anyone tell who the artist is by the signature?
Could that be silver the artwork is done on?

Thank you for any help, it is appreciated!

That fish bowl might be better than the average bear. The mark in the triangle looks like a 59 - a reference to the size? The metal artwork is Italian and was done in 1983, so crazy 80s rather than NA-influenced.

@journeymagazine that big fishbowl could be a real winner. The mark is the Tongzhi reign mark (1862-1874). You can call it fanille-noire (the black background color) -the mark could be genuine...or it could honorific. I'm not sure what to make of thelittleblack triangle...Although I have seen those triangles on twentieth century pieces. I'd send pics to a few auction houses.

An update - I poked around a bit more on Gotheborg site.

As you can see - the Tongzhi mark was often used on goods that were made in Macau and/or Hong Kong during the 1970's. Honestly the decoration on your bowl kind of fits into that look as well. Note the triangle/number stamp on the photo from Gotheborg. I'd definitely now lean towards your bowl being a Macau made / 2nd half of 20th century item.
