Hey y'all! I rarely see of get a chance to buy Majolica. This may be a tuition piece for all I know. $25 wasn't gonna hurt me :) I'm trying to decipher the name impressed on the bottom. It is 9 1/4" diameter x 5 1/2" tall. The bowl is 2 7/8" deep. I would appreciate any help you can provide. The RD shield is impossible to read. Thank you Majolica.png Majolica5.png

You probably already know this but the piece is British with that registry mark. You can't read anything on it?

Correct Marie, I knew it was English by the Registry mark. I can't decipher anything but maybe a couple of letters that I can't add together to lead to a company I'm familiar with.

Thank you Don and Crowley. I can see Fielelding now. I thought the last 4 letters were ding with an e in there before that. Fielding fits.

Have you tried shining a bright light through the registry mark? Sometimes shows more detail...
