    Greetings!
First time poster to this forum and website!
Location is Upstate NY, North East United States.
Seat height is 16", back height is 36", arm width is 28" seat width is 18" seat depth is 20".
I inherited this rocking chair and it is dated as far back as my great grandmother on my father's side of the family. So at least 3 generations old. It is rather creaky but solid otherwise. Appears to be in good condition.

I know nothing about old furniture or antiques in general. The hardware makes me think it was a manufactured piece but I can find no markings.

Looking for a general rundown of type of rocker, wood, age, estimated value etc.

Grateful for any insight! Thanks for reading and looking!

That is a beautiful oak rocking chair!
Unfortunately, rocking chairs are not a desired item anymore. Most would be lucky to fetch $20 and therefore end up curbside, or donated to the local Salvation Army store. However, I think yours might bring up to $100 in my Midwest USA suburban area. JMHO.
Value depends a lot on location.
