Featured Marble glaze Staffordshire? Cat ID backstamp

    Please can anyone help me ID the back stamp on this marble glaze cat?
    Is he likely Staffordshire?
    C7” tall.
    My research has drawn a blank on the mark so any help would be appreciated.

    I think he’s relatively recent and one of those studio potteries who do gift ware stuffs. I’ve seen the mark, can’t remember who.

    Does look recent. Here's a genuine (1750) one from The Met for comparison.

    I haven’t been able to find one like him yet. I’m growing quite fond of him so he may end up on my mantelpiece!
