Featured What are these glass tomatoes or pumpkins?

    They came to me in an oil lamp lot. I found one with a larger top opening that was being sold as an inkwell.

    Any idea what they are? Thanks!

    Target balls aren't flat bottomed and are much thicker glass. I've seen them before. Thanks!

    My first thought was pomegranate, which makes sense. I seem to recall fire grenades or something like that being called pomegranates once upon a time.

    Yup, those are pomegranate fire grenades. Thin glass.

    can someone show a photo of this as a fire grenade? I just don't believe that's what these were for. Being flat on the bottom, I my thought is some sort of bottle that had a cork stopper. Cordial or wine maybe

    I'm doubting the grenade id too. I've done a lot of searching and didn't find any that looked like these.

    that's all I can find.........& I don't think u have fire grenades .

    This has become somewhat frustrating to figure out. Well, at least I found a decent cocktail recipe to try, lol!
