I almost chose that one to show you :) !!

I always liked Patti Smith's Gloria, so decided to hear what the original sounded like

The iiiiiiiiiii of Gloria hooked me on to van for life,

He's got so much bite in his voice

    This is somewhat left field

I've been searching for it for years After hearing it on a tv show or movies but could never remember which one

Recently I started watching carnivale again and bingo !

Don't know what the hell Shes singing about, but I'm glad I have the song in my life

@charlie cheswick I don’t think it’s out of left field at all, I believe all music deserves a chance & a listen. Sort of like when I spent some time in Portugal a few years back. Some friends there tuned me in to a singer from Coimbra named Ruby Ann. When I first went to hear her sing, I liked her right away. I’m a fan of most forms of music, and I like rock-a-billy vintage & newer styles. Ruby Ann now lives, performs, records, and has a record label in the U.S. So here is Miss Ruby Ann....

Just one more, honest. The Maven is out of hand here! But when people get me on a music-go-back n forth chat, I’m in my element in some ways. This is a singer from Sweden I first heard about four years ago, Elin Ruth, she has an R&B feel to some of her stuff, there, now I’d better go, there’s some things to be done today. @charlie cheswick
I’ve enjoyed our music chat thus far, don’t be shy to add more if you wish. Maven

Maven, I love that you said that.

I haven't posted to any of your threads up till now, mostly because I didn't have anything relevant to say(!)

Nonetheless, every one of your posted songs brought back a memory from my own childhood. Whether it was Mom listening to the radio in the kitchen, the off-duty lifeguards hanging out at the pool, a camp counselor playing her transistor radio at lunchtime, or my sisters & me lying in the dark in our bunk beds at our beach house, each of your songs took me back to a long-ago time & place.

    Thank you!

I’m speechless. I will not even try to articulate on the memories and what you have just said, for I could never do it justice with words. I will say a very humble Thank You @SBSVC.

P.S. Please feel free to post anytime you like❤️
