Not my picture, much darker wood than appears. Haven't photographed it yet myself but will in the coming days. Any thoughts on age and origin.

    Thanks Joe

NICE looking cabinet!! But has that bottom piece been added...or refinished?...it doesn't look centered on the cabinet....and I do see that the door is slightly ajar. Love the top cornice though!! Will wait for your pics!!

Would think late 19th century. Agree that the base looks odd. Maybe salvaged from a larger piece?

May even be first quarter of the 20th century.....there's a craftsman vibe to it.

Very common form my side of the pond. Base included. Usually mid to late 19th.

It has wavy glass if that matters. Paid $110 for it. Not sure if that was a deal or too much. I'm going to store my cast iron and glass bank collection in it when I find a place to put it.

Older, then. Too much my side of the pond, but ymmv, especially if you like it and are using it.

Great display idea, Joe. If you like it, then you got a deal.

Just FYI, I've got glass-fronted bookcases up to the 1920s with wavy glass. So there's that.

    Just got one myself.
    Found it in my lock-up.

Stained pine, mirror back, circa 1970:cool:

I'd say that was a fair price, glazed hanging cupboards are in demand. Agrees on late 19th - 1920s, so it's old, either way. The base/bottom board does look like it's been added somewhere along the way.
