She's about 18-20 inches tall with no markings unless they're under the wig. She has a winding key on the side with a lever for on and off.

Any info you can give me is appreciated.

It's OK to gently peel back the wig to check for markings.

Sorry I haven't been back until now. I was at an auction buying more things to figure out. :woot:

She does nothing when wound. Her mechanism must be jammed.

The back of her head is uncovered. The wig is only attached to a small skullcap.

WOW! I see that you figured her out by researching her yourself, but I just wanted to verify that she is a Steiner gigoteur, @vintagerobin. Can you show pics of her body? That will help determine what she would have done when working properly. She's circa 1885. What a great find!

I'm going to sell her, so I'll be taking more pics later.

A lot of times. when I post something on here trying to id it, any input helps me continue to research. I'm thankful for this website.

    Worthpoint text:
she turns her head from side to side

The one on Worthpoint is clearly damaged as it doesn't do the full 360...

The cloth on her body is plastered on. If I was brave, I'd pull it off and check out her insides. But I'm going to try to sell her as is first.
