Featured Chinese? Boxwood? carved horses

not a bad little find from our local charity shop this morning.
they are not the finest, but sill have a little bit of charm
have some of the inset eyes missing

small size 4" by 3 1/2"

any info or age or origin would be great

the poor chap, has one just snapped off one, so looks like he has a cataract

 

So he needs an artificial lens.

I'm a straight green gal, but I bet the original model for the horse had brown ones.

 

Neat pair! I had a similar Blanc de chine pair once that drew a decent amount of attention.

 

My dad and his sisters had hazel eyes. Mine are blue, but when I was a little girl, I had a part of my right iris that was hazel. Sadly, it has faded over time.
