Helluva Haul!

 

Oh yes. Brooches and necklace, which is heavy cut neodymium, were two quid each, earrings fifty pence. Flower is Bakelite, the other appears to be sapphirine glass. Hah.

 

Oh, and the disc is blue John.

The other flower seems to be reverse carved and painted lucite on a plastic back maybe? No bakelite

 

I was clear as mud! Yes, reverse carved lucite, but the backing seems to be Bakelite.

I love neodymium glass. The flower brooch came from some chaps I often buy from. Oops. They know jewellery fairly well but they miss things, to my benefit.

 

Neodymium glass, lucite, bakelite, sappharine...good golly Miss Molly. Those chappies may know their silver but how I wish I had some such "knowledgable" sellers here!

 

Pretty little things. You must look quite sparkly on a night out.

One near me is on all year round. And I’ve also been frequenting jumble sales.

 

I turned up to an indoor one at the Irish heritage centre last year and there was one stall there. It was great.

Ahhh. 'James Last' Lps. I thought you meant James' 'Last Lps'. As in Tim booth's band's most recent material. No all I bought was a peerage brass wall planter. Strangely enough the stall holder was one I'd insulted at a Bowlee the week before. I was looking at a large jardiniere with a big complex fracture in it. She declared 'Oh it can be fixed!'. I said 'What with? Magic?'.
