I have a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire allegedly from the "Walking Dead" its called Lucille
It was from a house clearance, I don't know if its genuine or a copy.

Its hanging from the rafters at my lock-up.

Interesting! May be worth getting appraised/authenticated. That show's been on forever!

Was on, anyway. There's one spinoff still on the air for a short run, and another coming.

I worked in front of the camera on this show! Can't remember which episodes though... :cyclops:

Lucille is a very popular prop and I don't doubt replicas were made. Certainly fan copies for cosplay were done. For this type of thing you either have to have provenance (paperwork and/or who owned the house could have plausibly owned it because they worked on TWD or were a collector) or you have to screen match it/authenticate from someone who would know...like a prop master on TWD.

That said, many of these were probably made out of various types of materials. They go through a lot and have to be replaced. Some are rubber or foam... Hero, double, stunt types. You never know where these things end up!

I don't think I have any antique ones. I owned a couple before working in film... One of the millions of pirate coins from the first Pirates of the Caribbean, and a shield prop from Deadliest Warrior that they sent me for doing some art. Was too poor in those days to even go window shopping at Prop Store lol. I started picking up bits as I worked. I can't really aquire much though because I have no storage at all.

Hahahahahaha I think I SMELLED gruesome. It was 114 degrees, 100% humidity in full sun with zero breeze and I was in winter clothing....

    Filming is very glamorous.

But nah I was a survivor. Got to hold a gun on one of the main actors. (That narrows it down, doesn't it?)

I’ve a print used on Star Trek the Next Generation as a set prop. And some bits of the bridge carpet.

I had the bottom of c3po once.

    ......mayyyybe.... :bag:

It is actually a moment that was reported on fan sites/gif'd so I usually just google it up. I've worked in front of the camera on a bunch of stuff, and enjoy that, but I'm not keen on my name and image being together on the net. Got stalked as a kid online and that made an impression. :grumpy:

ST:TNG is the best one, so that is very cool to me. I also like SW but that sounds like a very odd piece to have! :hilarious:

The C3PO bottom half was from The Empire Strikes Back. Basically, the bag of junk which chewbacca carries on his back. Long story, but it got gifted to my SF group by the prop maker. I schlepped it to Christie’s, where a very bewildered receptionist paged their film memorabilia bloke. She was even more gobsmacked when he got very excited. Anyhow, they listed it, but then bloody Lucasfilm claimed it hadn’t been got lawfully. That stopped it going to auction. Christie’s proved it was lawful, and it got sold privately through them. They didn’t want to take commission but I insisted they should, it wasn’t their fault. It financed the group events for quite a while.

I also sold a pair of Spock ears.

It is indeed. I still remember my sheer fury at the ending, knowing it would be a two year wait.
