Finds over the last couple of weeks:

Butterfly brooch, interesting its got the wholes but its actually backed. I'm thinking Early 20th?

Nice Alpho vase, 5e at the charity shop. I've never seen one in this shape and I can't find one online either. That makes 5 to the collection!

SO happy to have scored this Carven brooch on ebay for 20e. I was the only bidder on this one that still has the tag. You normally can't find one listed for under 60. It happily joins the snail I got last year.

This was described as paper mache or alabaster (can't remember which), but it looks like wood to me. Very heavy. I thought the seller said it was a coffre (box), but they meant a coffre (coffin), so its a figurine not anything of use. Oh well, it was in the same lot as below so not a huge deal.

And finally this nice watercolor and some jewelry. The squirrel is possibly Art Deco or 50s, depends on the ad you listen to. No squirrels I've seen, but theres a couple of poodles made identically. The brass wannabe brooch is interesting, definitely glass baubles. The seller said the face was ebony? I love the watercolor, can't discern the sig but I think the year is '41?

In general, I wouldn't spend $5 for a used coffee mug. But this one seemed worth it:

Me either. I did get to talk to another antique junkie in the Ill Will, but otherwise it was a waste of gas.

Nice start to the 2024 season!

A little outdated (1984 prices) but lots of pictures and descriptions for 2 euros. And it's in English!

    imresizer-1710079755986.jpg

Even better, a nice Pierre Bex for 5 euros (thank you you lovely jewelies for that name a couple months ago), and a lovely amethyst chip and freshwater (?) pearl necklace for 3 euros.

I missed out on a cloisonné ball pen I meant to go back to, but hopefully since it was a dealers stall I'll see it again in the next one.
