Featured old talwar sword brooch

    Hi folks

    Found this badly advertised on ebay and made a £10 offer for it. took 3 weeks to arrive as the lady kept putting off posting it

    4 inches long with a blade inside

    the chain is detachable so you can pull the sword out

    quite a nice thing i think, not sure about metal, no marks i can see

    theres a little bit of damage to the sword part where it meets the scabbard on one side, but still a nice fit

    any thoughts or info appreciated

    Nice brooch!
    I have a Russian gold dagger pin. I think these were neat novelty items to pin onto your skirt in the Victorian days

    thanks ! its a pretty cool thing regardless of what its made from.

    i like the fact its not flat as well, like some are

    The detail is fabulous, this is such a fun piece. Unless I suppose, you find yourself on the wrong end of it!
