Featured Tortoiseshell Spoon Box

I was already writing:

"I know people here have had better deals with low prices for items that were worth much more than this, but for me this is rare to happen, so I'm chuffed with this buy."


My best buy so far, was a watercolour that I bought for 12,50 EUR, and sold for around 900 EUR. In the meantime I probably spent that on reproductions and other mass produced items, thinking they would be worth much.

 

your seller may have been a kind guy..........but without any clue as to what he was selling....
at least here !!

He did actually know it was tortoiseshell and that the spoons were silver, but apparently he never checked the common asking prices of these items.

yup, I had seen that one. Didn't you hear me cursing and asking the universe why I never find that type of items at those prices?

I just heard back from the universe, they said you and I live in the wrong country for huge bargains. The box was a lucky find though.
