Brass tea caddy with silver and copper inlay

    Picked this up at the boot this morning. I think it's a tea caddy or maybe a spice container. I don't usually bother with Indian brass items as they seem so abundant, but I do like the silver and copper inlay on this.

    I think at one stage this was showing it's age before someone used a buffing wheel on it, I like it, it has a charm about it.

    I think it has been regularly polished, hence the residue in all the gaps. I think it's going on my mantle piece for a while
