Featured African chief sculpture

    Screenshot_20240520_101010_Gallery.jpg purchased this very heavy, almost life-size African Chief sculpture at a consignment shop in Prescott Arizona. the signature on the bottom reads "Mayola sculpteur, 79 rue dibanya. my research has traced it back to Kinshasa Zaire early 1930, formerly Leopoldville and ironically where my sister spent a number of years working with the International Red Cross. the Grain on it is stunningly beautiful. saw one similar by the same artist at a gallery in Paris for about 300 Euros. I got it for $100. we just called him the chief
