    No doubt for me, blue Jasper! It is dyed to look like lapis, and another name for it in jewellery is " Swiss lapis". Generally encountered in German or Arts and Crafts pieces from 1920s-1930s.

    The parents of the Wachenheimer Brothers were German immigrants, so they could have had contacts with 'the homeland', which may have influenced their choice of stones.
