    Hi all

I got this porcelain knight recently and am curious about his age and make, could anyone here help me? The woman I got it from didn't know either, it's from a random antique store in Switzerland apparently.

    Thank you.

That is one of the Capo-di-monte marks.
So origin is most likely Italy.

Many companies have used the crowned N.

As to age, I'm thinking late 1900s. However, this is a guess on my part.

It might be Italian, but my call would be German with those impressed numbers.

The modelling and finish also look more Dresden-ish than Capodimonte to me, but that's just an opinion.:wideyed::cat:

That is the link I gave above. Unfortunately it ends up at a dead end on eBay.

That was my guess as well, but the crown didn't fit any of the N crowns I could find online, definitely not the Capodimontes, sadly it's a bit faded as well. The Scheibe Alsbach marks also look different but the make sure looks similar so I'll take the unfortunately dead Ebay link as official for now

The lilies on the SKIRT should have been an indication as well, yet rather odd choice of colours. In my defense, it was advertised in a local classified as "knight" :shame:

Regardless of who made it, I think it's a lovely piece.
