Do these look vintage?

Well, I'm back. I am still on the lookout for vintage dining/side chairs for my vintage table--I guess going for the mis-match look. I found one for $6 that looks vintage and I have 2 armchairs I got for $15/pair that someone spray-painted yellow...

So I need help trying to figure out first of all if they are all vintage and second is there a way to remove the spray paint or can anyone share a link to how to re-upholster the yellow chairs. I think I can do the dining chairs but those armchairs with tacks I am not sure.

I'm including pic of table for those that might have some ideas for me as to what other type of vintage chairs I can search for.

    Thanks!!!

Yeah...I have 2 exactly the same and I had put them in my living room by the fireplace for now but my 12 yr old girl is like "Mom, I don't think that looks too good." LOL
But I do like the pop of color..I would need to spray paint them again though because you can see the darker tones underneath from previous color and one of the chair seats feels rough...not sure why...?

    Thanks for reply:)

Love the bright mustard/gold color and gazillion matching tacks :)

    But the vinyl/naugahyde isn't especially comfy :)

I wonder if paint thinner can remove spray paint from tacks and if it would look good if I can do that...or replace them with new ones and have the metal outline...what ya think?

I like the yellow chair too - often chairs of this style are not upholstered in vinyl but in leather ...worth checking?

Would that mean the leather is ruined?

    I love those tacks, lol!

Why mess around with messy thinner which will never come out as clean as those yellow brads...

I'd sell them, if they're not really what you want. They'd probably work better as accent/side chairs in a hallway, or something like that.

Paint thinner won't but lacquer thinner will. I am with scoutshouse, find something more to your liking.

The other chair is a Queen Anne variation of a T-back chair. Circa 1920.

Do you want the chairs you get to match the same "vintage" as the table?

Sorry...i accidentally responded earlier under guest...forgot to sign in. Not sure you read it.

I said thanks for identifying chair!
Also I do like yellow chairs just not sure how to make them look better due to bad paint job...will hold onto them for a while...
    Thanks!

Hi. Not sure you read last respose...i forgot to sign in...Lol
Ideally I would like vintage chairs to match table's "era" but I don't even know when table was made either...just saw some similar ones online that were labeled vintage.
Would you like to see pics of chairs I have so far?

It looks like a contemporary version of Federal style. I like the white legs.

Maybe dark chairs with white cushions? :)

It sounds like you're picking, so could take a while to find enough chairs you like.

Did you post about the table here and get opinions about it's age and style?

Cool. That's a good idea. The legs were painted when I bought it and I liked it.
Regarding the chairs, I'm just trying to find good bargains...nothing fancy, just similar to what I have found so far and sturdy enough so we don't fall...Lol

    Thanks again!
