Featured Audrey Hepburn 1957

I had posted this this morning in another forum, but I thought I'd post it here as well for the photo people.

I was happy to have received this latest addition to my vintage photo collection.

This is a transparency negative of Audrey Hepburn for 1957's Funny Face. As soon as I have the opportunity to make a print from this beautiful negative, I will post the framed finished product.

Not only is this going to be a great addition to the Audrey Hepburn section of my collection, but to my entire vintage original photo collection. (Some of the collection I have previously posted to this photo section & antique discussion)
*Just a quick note on the type of film negative Kodak PXP 6057 was a panchromatic film used for professional outdoor & studio work, fine grain, sharp details, in production from 1954, discontinued in 2011. It differs in quality from the general purpose film that was also in production. I re-inspected this negative on a light table under magnification, and it looks beautiful, pretty excellent condition considering handling etc, it will also be blown & dusted regardless, so it should make a very nice clear print. There is a process in action here to get it right! (This negative will have a high definition digital scan done for future). I think this one will be done on a high quality gallery quality matte paper, no glare.

 

Ok I’m eccentric, I just thought a music dance break should be done right here.....

Yes Bakers, this place is open on Saturday and Sunday for a number of hours.
I was towed there yesterday and they ordered the part and fixed it today. I never thought a mechanic would be open on the weekends but this one is. They close about 1 or 2 pm on the weekends. Had to get this done before Yom Kippur even tho I don't drive on that holiday.

 

That's great, Pearls! Plus being able to get a part that had to be ordered! Yahoo!

***An UPDATE on my original Audrey Hepburn negative****

I finally got around to making a print on some nice archival photo paper of this 1957 Audrey Hepburn, then I ran it over to my framer Alex, he completed this in record time for me lol He also remarked on how amazingly clear & crisp this print is, and how at the same time it maintains it’s old school film look as well (love that man). Here is the finished product amongst my collection.....isn’t she lovely❤️

 

This collage is just a “SMALL glimpse” into to Audrey Hepburn section of my vintage Photo & Ephemera collection. The Audrey Hepburn part of my collection consists of many rare original items that range from 5 original preservation framed photos, a 1949 original playbill that marks her first ever appearance on theatre stage, a few of her rare early magazine covers, a very rare early 1950’s trading card, and a replica working script from Breakfast At Tiffany’s. Incredibly, I just started my Hepburn section of my collection in October of 2017, so it’s two years this month that it was started.
