Chinese? Soap-Stone Disc Pendant: Is It Older?

    It's ~58mm diameter, ~5.7mm thick; a steel point will scratch it, an' leaves white powder. Weight is ~31 grams.
    Is there any significance to the bird or the other elements surrounding it? I think the cord is silk, but haven't tested it with flame. Thanks for lookin'!

    It looks like a pendant from the 70s but I'd wait for the real experts in Asian wares.
