No idea! I got it at a local bi-annual rummage / vintage show at the fairgrounds. Hundreds of vendors, but this particular vendor has good stuff for good prices. Next time I see him I'll gently inquire what he does...

I don't know what it is like in the US, but overhere modern snowscapes are usually more expensive than other landscapes.
(It takes more endurance to paint them.)

 

Hmmm.... I have generally found snowscapes to be a harder sale. Who wants to be reminded of Winter year round?

 

I guess Dutch people don't mind. We rarely have snow, so we like to be reminded of those few real winters we had in the 60s.

 

We don't mind.....some of our most beloved works are winter scenes ....
A hockey game on the pond....a sugar shack in the woods..... a horse drawn sleigh on the snowy lake.... pure Canadiana !!
