Featured Large silver 800 dish

    Hey folks, Happy Friday! :)

    I bought this stunning large silver serving dish. I assume it's German, but does anyone recognize these markings by any chance? And approximate age?
    Length approx. 30 cm (12 inches).

    Even without the Söhnlein mark it has Hanau written all over it.;)
    Very impressive piece, excellent workmanship by Karl and his Söhnlein (little sons).;)

    'Rape' in the sense of carrying off, abducting [as in 'rapture' & 'raptor'] although no doubt the other kind of violation occurred as well. Proserpina/Persephone becomes a very regal Queen of the Underworld for 6 months of the year while remaining her mother's daughter for the other 6.
