    Think your artist is Carl Brandt (1852-1930)he has done some similar work.

    CARL Brandt (1852-1930) born in Sweden,and as painting is dated 1918 it's is most probably his work but NOTto be confused with another artist Carl Ludwig Brandt (1831-1905) born in Germany,but moved to America where most of his work was done.
