    Hi,
I missed you all and trying to catch up. Last Friday morning while trying to start decorating I got really dizzy and then started to get the chills. I was fine and two minutes later I was FREEZING and shaking so hard it was not possible to breathe right.
I started to turn blue and thought perhaps my time had come to say goodbye. I was shaking so hard I could hardly dial 911. When the operator came on I was shaking so hard I could not talk. She called the dispatch and an ambulance was on its way as hearing the sirens on the three police cars that pulled in the same time the ambulance arrived wasn't enough to scare my neighbors. My teeth were so clinched I could not speak and me being gray from not being able to take a deep breath all they could do was throw me into the ambulance. I was shivering so much they could not get a blood pressure cuff on me to work. They were getting started in intubating me when we reached the hospital. 10 mins later I was warming up and could talk. I had a temp of 103. As they were questioning me and taking blood I was drifting by, answered all of their questions that I could understand. Warmed up and being cohesive I was staring at them. My white blood cell count was 33!! I had an infection but where? The only other time like this was when I had a cellulitis infection. Another hour passed and I felt fine just physically drained. They kept me over the weekend and I came home this afternoon. NOTHING came back positive except my fever and blood work. That all came back down to normal levels. They had me for hours in Xray with scans and such
everything came back normal. I am fine now but what the hell was it?

The only times I have had that happen was when I have another bout of labyrinthitis.
Not fun, and very, very, scary.

Oh, how scary that must have been. So sorry, Greg!

The closest to what you had that I've seen happened soon after we were married. I was waken around 2:00 am by the bed shaking. At first I thought we were having an earthquake. It was DH having a severe bout of shaking, chills and high fever. I couldn't get enough blankets on him to get him warm. Early that morning I called the doctor's office and was told to bring him in now to the office by the back door. The doctor thought it might be malaria because DH had been in SE Asia about 6 months before. The doctor did all the blood tests, etc... finding nothing, but a high white blood count like yours. He shot DH with antibiotics and gave him quite a regiment of antibiotics and other stuff and such. Within a short time he had warmed up, but he was weak for a good week. The blood tests showed no signs of malaria. To this day we don't know what he had. This happened to DH in his mid 20s. If that happened today with him in his mid 70s, no telling what the outcome would be. :nailbiting: :(

just adding .... by "feeling yourself" I meant that you were feeling back to normal ... not implying that you feel yourself ...
    but that's normal too ...
    oh ...
    never mind

    glad you're OK :)

Glad you're back with us Greg.

Sounds like you do things the weird way, like I do. I like to play Stump the Doctors also.

Psychosomatic. Clue was you'd just started decorating. The ghost of a bad Xmas past appeared in your subconscious and took control. Glad you were able to get rid of him. Whenever your doctors are clueless, have them contact me, I work cheap.
