    Spoon has a South/Central/Aztec American vibe. I will be the 11th to admit, I've never seen these hallmarks, before. Thanks!

    I'd say Egyptian, although most marks don't look familiar to me. It dies have the Arabic numerals for .800 silver.
    Cleopatra is not very Aztec or South American.:playful:

    Cleopatra? Damn. I thought she looked like Aztec Goddess Ehecatl.

    I don't see Egypt. Colonial South America to my eye. Woman with a quetzal headdress facing a monkey. And isn't that a shell motif on the handle?

    ٨٠ = 80 in Arabic, 80% silver 800 pure.

    Eh, call me silly, but just have a really difficult time with an Arabic '800' mark and calligraphic name (or an Ottoman tughra) on a South American spoon...

    Have seen similar marks before on pre-1916 Egyptian silver before, and believe AJ is correct:

    Heh, Marote was a bit quicker...

    Believe it's clear this isn't really my area in silver, but we've seen similar here before:

    And this is from an old 2006-2007 thread on 925-1000, the images unfortunately gone - note that the tughra-like mark described was the maker's name:

    I genuinely had the same thought. At least in the face.

    I didn't pay enough attention to the halftime show to verify the rest of the "likeness." :playful:

    You know, I didn't even recognize the mark as a tughra, and I've seen hundreds over the years, and even own a tughra ring.:joyful: Because it was at an awkward angle it looked like a horse and rider to me, which is why I couldn't place it. (I blame it on old age.;))

    I'm young, and I didn't see it either, so don't blame yourself. :rolleyes::D
