Featured Slip Top Spoon

    Hi

    I have this slip top spoon which is likely 1st half of the 17thc. Unfortunately as with a lot of these spoons the date letter is completely rubbed and indecipherable. Some of the maker's mark remains and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on a possible identity for the maker, a bit of a long shot I know.

    It could be this unidentified London TP mark which I have seen with a hallmark date of 1641 and for which Jackson notes sightings of 1639 and 1641.

    Thank you Phil, I saw that mark on your site and must admit I have been unable to find anything that's a better match. Might be one that will be difficult to ever pin down.
