Bronze Cupid

Hello. I found an interesting figurine at an antique market. Does anyone know the century or the author of the work? It looks like a work from the Rococo era.

Can't tell you much about the origin yours, but to my eyes the Etsy link appears to be a newer version of the same figure.

How big is it? Years ago I had a small glass serving bowl (usually for grapes) with a cupid base that looked a lot like this.

I found an image online that is almost the same to show you what it might have looked like.

 

22 cm.

Could it be Claude Michel?

 

Looks like original bronzes by him are signed "Clodion" -- And to me the base on yours doesn't look like an original from that era. Claude Michel died in 1814. I think yours is newer, but not extremely new.
