    It does go that way INH. Probably Chinese and could very well be an "honorific" mark - a mark from a previous emperor's reign that is used long after the reign was over. The Chinese do that a lot.

    Starting upper right, "Da" (the great) and "Ming" below that. Got those from Chinese porcelain marks, so the rest is a mystery to me.

    da ming xuan de nian zhi,it's mean great ming dynasty under the reign of xuan de emperor,but the base and the looks don't looks that old,imho
