Is it a keeper or a yardsale item?

Hey everyone,

Another painting from my friend's collection. Again, finding similar images by a variety of artists but nothing that indicates it's an authentic piece. Once again, standard paper backing with no markings.

My guess is mass production. Something seems off about the signature. It's a little too legible.

It does appear to be a factory painting. In the future, would you please include a photograph of the painting and its frame? And a photograph of the back with frame too please.

Was the frame in the picture not enough? And it's still on the wall. The way it is hung, I can't just take it down and then hang it back up again. That's why I described the back. It looks like every other back of a painting with no markings.

 

Its what every art person needs to see to accurately help you with your art. You can tell a lot by the back and the frame. Any board you ask about art on is going to ask for the same information.

 

Don't worry. If difficult to take down, you can leave alone. When these kinds of results come up with a Google Images search, you know you have a factory painting. Minor variations on the same theme.

Those frames with a strip of canvas in the middle are indicative of factory paintings. I worked in a gift shop that had these on the second floor and they almost always had those frames

 

Thank you. I know a few tell tale signs of factory paintings but that one about the canvas is a new one for me. Appreciate the info!

 

Ah, yes, the recreation of an original with enough variations not to get into trouble.

 

Not sure there was ever an original.
