Mid century Geometric squat cylinder ... marked

I have been searching for the maker of this remarkable ceramic for ages.

It is remarkable in that at first I thought it was a piece of West Germany factory pottery, until I noticed that 1. it has a potters mark; 2. it has been hand thrown on the wheel. That means that the stripes have been applied by hand - off the wheel. For me this is an amazing feat of engineering - I mean, look how exact the stripes are in relation to each other - and the fact that they have been spaced out exactly so to fit around the pot equi-distant!!

As far as I can gather, the stripes have been applied using the tape resist process ... WOW!

OK, you can tell I am in love with it ... but what is its name? I mean - who made it?

Is it European? The stripes are of a volcanic type glaze - the Germans like their "fat lava" ... and I only have to look at another German pot (by Monika Maetzel) to see the 'German' attitude to precision.

Or is it Scandinavian ... like Ursula Scheid (oh, yes please!! ... I know - its not one of hers!!).

So, can anyone give me a clue? Thanks for looking at this ... à plus!

Inversed, it looks, TO ME, like a "G" inside that circle.............JMHO!!! NICE little pot, although I didn't see the size!!!

 

Yes ... I can see the G too. Height 13cm/5" Diameter 17cm/6.5"
This is the challenge - if I cannot read the mark then I have to rely on the style ... in other words who makes this unique type of ceramic? I do not think there are many potters around that produce excellent quality highly professional squat flat rimmed geometric tape resist volcanic glazed vessels! (Should I call it a vase? - It doesn't seem to lend itself to a bunch of flowers though!) I've spent hours googling as many of the variations and coming up with nothing. I think I need a name. I think I need a beer! (Oh, I forgot - I don't drink!!)
