There isn't a signature or other mark on either. Does the style or any other feature suggest an area or tribe? These an' the two rings just posted are part of the costume jewelry hoard belonging to a friend's wife, who is in memory care. Eventual sale of all this stuff will assist him to pay for that care. Thanks for your help, an' for lookin'!

both easily look Navajo....... BUT..... no siggy , uneven workmanship... leads me to think otherwise...!

The lack of a maker's mark means nothing, thousands of pre 1960 NA made silver jewelry was never marked. The bottom bracelet appears to have been poorly made by student,hobbyist,etc....

I'm sorry , but it doesn't mean nothing.
On an older piece .... it has less significance...
but these are not old works of jewelry..

I'd be wondering about "deadhead silversmith" type work.

    Agree.

As you said in the title, SW style, rather than Navajo.
Is the red stone dyed coral, or dyed jasper or the like?

I'm not able to say with any certainty, AJ...but there is a darkness to it that leans me toward jasper, though it could be dyed. The pics were taken in poor daylight.

I'm not familiar with that term, Evely...

I think these are both Navajo. At least the style screams Navajo to me.
This stuff was made fast and furious in the 70s and 80s to meet the demand.
The turquoise one has a nice stone. Maybe Royston.

Lots of Grateful Dead fans who followed the band around had to find a way to earn money. Some of them turned to silversmithing and sold jewelry to other concert-goers in the parking lot. They worked with varying degrees of skill and often in the style of Native American jewelry.

It's a term I picked up somewhere; it may not be in common use.

The others turned to grilled cheese, burritos, tye dyed shirts, and drooogs.

Hence the tie-dye shirts at the concerts emblazoned with things you blaze up?
