    Hi, Folks-
Can anyone help ID this swung glass vase. Believe it's American-made, early 20th century. We've had a number of similar vases down through time but none this massive. It's about 16" tall and 7" in diameter at the bottom. Any thoughts or comments will be appreciated. Thanks. DSCN8707.JPG DSCN8708.JPG DSCN8709.JPG DSCN8710.JPG DSCN8711.JPG

A wee bump. I feel certain a member will know the maker. Hopefully. TallCakes? And thanks.

one of the many Colonial/Panel patterns, but I'm not finding an exact match like this with the same number of panels as rays in the bottom. United Glass Co. did make lines with matching numbers of panels and bottom rays; it's hard to find examples showing the bottom ray design, and catalogs often only show side views.

  4. Some glass patterns defy identification. We have to live with this. If the molds still existed and were available for study, perhaps some could be resolved, but as in many cases scrap iron fell subject to reuse in two World Wars, plus, we'll never know.

Great vase! I would think with the size it would be called a Funeral Vase. There are collectors of funeral vases who would likely love this example. It's so huge! If it were mine, it would be a keeper.
