HELP!!

Good evening,
My F-I-L is cleaning out a house for an estate. It was a bit of a hoarding situation but found some nice pieces of furniture that either need to be cleaned or restored. I could really use some help. One is a brass bed frame; it belonged to the father of a 93-year-old man, so we know it is old. I read to check for seams on the posts and some different ways to tell if it is all brass or a brass veneer, but if it pre 30's I cant imagine that is the case. I am going to have him check for any kind of stamp or makers mark as we are trying to figure out a value for it and to understand what he has. From the same house he has a black walnut table with an in lay on the top of the table with an ornate metal piece on the wooden support that ties the legs together. its 29 inches high, 48 inches, 18 inches deep. the wood is all solid but it needs a full restoration. Can anybody identify what kind of table it is, not brand but what it is called and what it would be used for.
Lastly is an antique rope bed that actually has been in his family since at least the 30's and is in really good shape. both ends are beautifully spindled.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The brass bed is likely 1890s. The photos make it appear to have a very nice patina; some would prefer it that way. It would no doubt be stunning - and labor intensive - to have it all bright and shiny again; everyone likes that. Have a mattress custom made to put this beauty to work again; it’s not as difficult or expensive as you might think.

The trestle-style table has a lyre central pedestal. The condition appears to be poor; given the decline in the antique market it’s probably not worth restoring unless it has sentimental value for you. It looks to have been a dining table or large side table.

The final piece is unusual. It looks to be a day bed from the mid-19th century. The spindles are variously called “Jenny Lind” or “bobbin.” You will probably have to get a custom cut high mattress, maybe strengthening the base with short slats or something similar, to augment the rope support and make it useful again as well as interesting. Or not. The ropes may be enough, and would certainly keep it more authentic.

Place it in front of a window or at the base of your bed.

That spool bed immediately made me go Hmmmm ! The brass bed is rather nice too. that table looks 1920s,is that a glass top on it ?

Check the brass bed with a magnet to see if solid or plated (magnet will not stick if solid brass). Nice bed but not a lot of demand for double sized beds these days. Value really depends on your market and how selling. Assuming solid, would think under $500.00 in most markets but that might be a good insurance value. Here in my semi-rural Midwest location, we are probably under $250.00 for it at retail and quite a bit less at auction. A lot less if plated.

Your console or sofa table is circa 1930 and of little to no value in this condition. Here, someone might pick it up for around $15.00 to use as a paint project.

Your rope bed, while quite old and interesting, also would have little demand. However, as a daybed, it might do better than a bigger bed. Maybe a $100.00 or so at retail here in my area where primitives still have some following.

I have a spool turned/bobbin armchair from the same era; the turning looks very similar to that of the bed.
