Intro

    Hi Everyone - I'm a new member, I'm British and I've lived in Montreal since 2017 after many years living in Switzerland and elsewhere. I lived in the UK until around 2000.

    I recently cleared out my mother's house in the UK - there was an old Safe made by 'The National Safe Co,. Gorton Manchester". It's about 70cm high and about 45cm wide and 45 cm deep - it's very heavy.

    I would like to know if anyone has an idea about how much this Safe would be worth.

    I have attached a photo to this message.

    Most safes are a bear to sell, and that's if you have the combination.

    It does not look in too bad condition, if you have both keys and the keys for the drawer(s) inside I would expect it to sell for £250-£300 on Gumtree or a bricks & mortar auction house.

    I have two sets of keys - one original and one a copy. The safe is currently sitting in a friends garage in North Wales.
