I thought this was resin, now think it could be plaster?

I bought this this booty season, was 50p...the person I bought it from had lots of resin Japanese and Chinese stuff and this one I also thought was resin and I know some of the nicer resin ones sell reasonably well.
This one looked better quality than the others he had.
I saw one on here a few weeks ago which looked like the same material ( sorry I can't remember who's it was!) but it wasn't determined what it was made of.
The bottom to me said resin! but where it's a little chipped, the underneath is white.
It's in very good condition so I don't think it's very old...maybe the bottom had something on it to make it hold to the stand? ( Which I don't have)
Can't see any bubbles or anything
It has a faux break line across the middle...I still think it's resin, just making sure.It is very heavy and cold...I know resin can be heavy but this is very cold.
    I worked out it's one of the Immortals,Li Tieguai ( I think)
It's approx four inches down ( 11cms) and two inches across the base (5 cms)

    Thank you everyone <3

Definitely not resin, this piece is soapstone which may have been stained. Hand carved, so all good!

It's in really really good condition, do you think it's new? xxx
Edited to add my thought process ( not sure why but I feel compelled  )

The seller had a lot of Chinese and Japanese things, some old and some looked new...some were obviously resin, they were all exactly the same.I picked this one up and it felt different to the others so I risked 50p on it.Got it home, turned it over and saw what I thought were resin-y marks on the under,so I made an eBay listing for it but had second thoughts because it's so cold and hard x
(He also had a cream jug, which says STERLING under it ... he charged me 50p for that as well xxx )

I don't think it's THAT new, doesn't matter anyway - less and less handwork of this type will be appearing as the Chinese are becoming more affluent and too busy making your Apple I-phones etc.

Really? Soapstone feels cold when touch it. Resin feels normal temperature.

Yes,many thanks...it can be hard at a booty to know exactly what something in is made of...I could tell this one was better than the others he had, they were all identical and thy must have been plastic. This one was heavier and colder,so I risked 50p...got it home and saw all that stuff on the bottom so didn't give it much thought, just thought was resin as well, looked like resiny lines. I made a eBay listing for it,while I was doing it I noticed it was very cold and hard so I asked here...glad I did xx
