I bought this item at an antique market. Any ideas what it could be? I couldn’t find anything similar on the Internet.

I think it’s from the beginning of the 20th century. It’s a very beautiful thing.

Souvenir from Paris (View from the Place de la Concorde, with the Luxor Obelisk, in the direction of the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, with the Arc de Triomphe)

Are you sure you mean papier-mâché? It looks more like a painting done on cardstock.

Reverse printed, maybe with the color painted on later by hand? The black lines don't look hand done. That would be standard for souvenir pieces.

The word 'deposé' simply means the design is officially registered.

Seconded - one more reason for thinking the design was printed. You wouldn't have "copyright" printed onto a one-off.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Souvenir item, just a framed picture... it is pretty.

    I'm sure it's not a print
