The jelly belly is Trifari and was a whole five squid. Cameo, which I need to clean but looks suspiciously like a gold pin and hinge was two whole pounds, Reuse Shop which had a tray of brooches.

The silver trombone one is interesting. Real turquoise and some enamel embellishments. Pretty sure it's silver, the colour is just reflection.

The Saturn is Cabouchon who made really nice stuff. Came from a snotty git who thinks he's clever. Hah. He sold me it for a fiver as well as a lovely champleve French enamel box for the same amount. He's the one who sold me Blue John and told me it wasn't. DOUBLE HAH. Sounds like you know what (AH).;) It is a beauty.
Are there turquoises hidden under the central rosette?

    Love the Saturn too.

    AH HA.

To coin a phrase. I did think it might well be. It's big, too. Came from a lovely woman who I buy from quite often - she's the one who gave me that fab art deco bracelet last year. I never ever haggle with her.

I've wanted the Saturn for ages. I liked Cabouchon at the time, still do.

I think the "hidden" bits are enamel - the cabochons are certainly turqoise.

One is also visible from the back, you wouldn't get that with enamel.

The turquoise is turquoise. The Saturn isn't something I'd have keyed on as valuable, but would have nabbed as Space-themed. The flax wheel would have gone home with me too.

Duh, you’re right, good point, so the hidden blues are also turquoise.

I love anything space themed. The spinning wheel is Scottish hallmarked silver and the Celtic one is a museum replica, also hallmarked. Siamese is pottery, destined for a friend who was owned by several.

Christmas tree is Grosse, too. All of fifty pence.

In addition to the Big Dipper/Great Bear, have you IDed the other constellations on the Saturn brooch?

I went right to the Siamese, naturally, but kitty obviously wanted to go home with someone else. Love me some fuzzballs!

I love the ‘Oh, and also…’ :hilarious:
What a fab collection! Hours of fun to be had ID’ing all of those.
    Not jealous at all :blackalien:
Our car boots haven’t started yet, can’t wait!
I have a few dealers that I take great delight in finding good stuff that they think is junk.I’ll never go to heaven for enjoying it but they are SO up themselves  it’s worth it.

We’ve got one car boot which runs all year. It’s a bit of an endurance test when it’s below zero and pitch flaming black!

yeah, I do love me a snotty know all. This particular one sells at a little indoor sale and he’s a rude sod too. So it pleases me even more. I’ve other lovely sellers who hold stuff back for me and pick my brain, then give me a good deal or freebies even.

I love me some snotty know-it-all action too. If it's someone nice I'll even clue them in sometimes, but not the nose-in-air types.

Then there are the sellers, so called, who pull out everything worth money and expect me to buy from the rest. Uhmmm, you already sold or aren't selling everything I would have wanted?????? I also went to an estate sale this fall, actually more than one, with the same MO. Why not just donate it, if all that's left are the leftovers?
