Chinese Vase

    What can you tell me about this vase? Is there any age to it? What does the hallmark say? It's up for auction (photos are not mine) and I like it, but don't know much about Chinese porcelain. It is 14" tall.     Looks like Chinese banking. I've not seen one so colourful before though. You often get them in blue and white or famille verte palette.

    The mark on your vase is somewhat similar to a few of the marks shown. Based on the dating of similar pieces of this page it's probably early 20th century.

    That was an interesting tidbit. I always considered items with the brown mark 20th c but good to know it's generally the first quarter 20th.

    Agree with late 19th to early 20th century. It’s a good example.
